Yearly support from the community and our members is crucial
for the Cleveland Museum of Art. Major support of museum
operations comes from the Annual Fund, ensuring that the
museum remains open to all and admission remains free.

Grants
The Cleveland Museum of Art receives
significant support in the form of grants
for the museum's operations and many program
initiatives. Contributors include numerous
local, regional and national private and
corporate foundations, along with
governmental entities including the State of
Ohio and federal agencies. We are deeply
appreciative of the support of all of these
groups and the contribution the resulting
programs make to art, education and meeting
the museum's mission. For more information

No matter the size of the gift you desire to make, the
Office of Gift & Estate Planning will work with you and your
advisors to design a gift or estate plan that achieves your
financial and philanthropic objectives. The office provides
personalized services to members at no cost, including
information on charitable tax deductions and proposals
tailored to your circumstances. Charitable giving creates
benefits for you and your family beyond the satisfaction of
giving through significant estate tax reduction and income
for you and your family if you desire.
Endowments are an important part of contributing to and
securing the future programs and collection. An endowment
can support the general operations of the Museum or a
specific purpose. We will work with you to create an
endowment that reflects your interest.
Giving a gift to the museum brings an immediate additional
benefit of membership in the Legacy Society. It was created
to recognize those who have thoughtfully named the CMA in
their wills or made other gifts to the museum. Membership
includes a specially designed gift, an opportunity to meet
others with similar interests and being more closely
involved with the life of the museum. For more information

Most museum members have a special area of interest - a
particular medium or period that holds a powerful
attraction. The museum's special interest groups can help
you turn curiosity into connoisseurship with programs
designed around fostering deep appreciation of your chosen
area. Get to know curators, share experiences with fellow
aficionados - even take trips to see important exhibitions
and collections. Join one of these groups and you not only
support the museum's activity in that area, but you and
other members also contribute immeasurably to the cultural
life of the community by enhancing the level of
connoisseurship in Cleveland.
