Michael McKay, Manager, Office Operations
Michael McKay has worked at the Cleveland Museum of Art since 1999. A native of greater-Cleveland, Mr. McKay received a bachelor of music degree from Cleveland State University in 1998. While at CSU, he studied voice with Noriko Paukert, organ with Margaret Scharf, and composition with P.Q. Phan. During the summer of 2002, he attended a five-week intensive course for Hungarian language and culture in Debrecen, Hungary.
Mr. McKay also holds the post of Associate Organist at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist (Cleveland, OH) since 1998. He often provides liturgical music for other area churches as organist or cantor. An active chamber musician, he has performed with Apollos Fire, the Old Stone Singers, the St. Pauls Episcopal Church Choir, the Case Western Reserve University Early Music Singers, Concorditas, and Cantores Ecclesiae, as well as in various Cleveland-area chamber ensembles.
