Kyra Burton, Production Manager
Kyra Burton joined the Division of Performing Arts, Music, and Film in January 2007. Though she holds an MA in History from CSU, she is continually drawn to the stage and live production. She has production experience with jazz, dance, rock, theatre, gospel, and more on stages large and small, nationally and locally. Ms. Burton spent some time touring with various groups including The Moscow State Ballet
, Jesus Christ Superstar, and David Copperfield.
Ms. Burton came from Cuyahoga Community Colleges Theatre Department and Performing Arts Division. Among various other duties, she was Lighting Designer for theatre, dance, and concert productions and was recently the interim Technical Director. Ms. Burton is an adjunct faculty member in the Theatre Department and enjoys teaching Theatre Appreciation when she can as well as working with students as they learn about theatre and technical production. With Tri-Cs Performing Arts Division, she worked often as stage manager and lighting director for many of their productions including the annual
JazzFest and Bill Rudmans

Her background is somewhat eclectic and includes a strong love of history, teaching, and animals. She has credentials as a dog trainer and dog owner counselor. She also works when she can as the Archivist for the Cleveland Play House.
