Panorama Film Series
April 2008
April's films include a crowd-pleasing new documentary (The Cats of Mirikitani), a film version of a hugely popular play (Tony 'n' Tina's Wedding), a multi-generational tale of movie making in Hollywood (Man in the Chair), an acclaimed black comedy from Tajikistan (Angel on the Right), and the original, uncut version of Ingmar Bergman's 1982 masterpiece Fanny and Alexander.

Mays films include a new documentary about a fashion icon (Lagerfeld Confidential), a classic Polish historical drama that complements our Arms & Armor show (Colonel Wolodyjowski), a new Latvian historical drama (Defenders of Riga), and the final two "Silk Road Movies" shown in conjunction with the VIVA! & Gala Around Town mini-series of music of Central Asia and the Near East (Bab'Aziz: The Prince Who Contemplated His Soul and Iran: A Cinematographic Revolution).
Manoel de Oliveira: The First 100 Years
In May and June, the museum presents a special film retrospective of Portugal's master filmmaker Manoel de Oliveira in celebration of his upcoming 100th birthday. Full series details available here.
Admission Prices & Important Parking Information
Unless noted, each program $8, CMA members $6, seniors 65 and over $5, students and children $4, or one Panorama voucher. Panorama vouchers, in books of ten, can be purchased for $55, CMA members $45. All films will show in the museum's renovated Lecture Hall.
Tickets available on show days or in advance at the museum Box Office, in person or by phone: 2164217350 or 1888CMA0033. Tickets also available online. Major credit cards accepted. Non-refundable fee for phone and online orders.
The museum's expanded parking deck is now open. Rates: $5 for 15 min to 2.5 hrs., $1 per 30 minutes thereafter to $10 max. $5 after 5 pm. Visit the museum's Plan Your Visit page for more information.
BECOME A FILM PROGRAM VOLUNTEER AND GET A FREE MOVIE!
We are looking for volunteers who would like to tear tickets at museum film screenings. Ticket takers usually work 30 minutes before the start of the movie to 30 minutes after it begins. Ticket takers get to watch the movie for free. If interested, call Liz Pim at 2167072593.
