The Cleveland Museum of Art Distance Learning program connects students from all over the country and beyond with the museum to enrich their studies of history, languages, science, math and the visual arts. Through live videoconferencing, students view art and artifacts from around the world while sharing in two-way conversations with museum educators.

Lessons are designed for grades K-12 and are aligned with national, Ohio, New York and Michigan learning standards. A grid format Grade and Subject Guide to CMA DL Lessons is available in Adobe Acrobat PDF (free download from Adobe). Lessons on the grid are linked to their description.

Teacher Workshops are also available to introduce audiences to videoconferencing. Choose two to three lessons topics in order to sample images and content in these half-hour sessions.

CMA distance learning was selected for Best Fine Arts Museums & Organizations. The Berrien County, Michigan Independent School District annually hosts the Teachers Choice Awards to select the Best Content Providers. CMA Distance Learning was selected for Best Fine Arts Museums and Organizations for 2006 and 2007.
